How to fix Starfield Ship Not Landing on Landing Pad ?

In Starfield, after building an landing pad/outpost and successfully placing landing post on the ground many users are facing issue that the they are not able to land on the landing pad from the space. The Starfield landing post seem to be buggy as while trying to land on the newly build landing pad the ship is landing few hundred meters away from the landing post.

The issue is random as some players are facing that the ship sometimes land fine at Outpost and then suddenly don’t anymore, with no changes to the ship’s size or even the outpost.

After the release of the Game the starfield is reported with many issue, unable to fly ship etc. The game is glitchy in many places. But normally below could be the causes if you are not ablet land on landing post.

• Check Ship size :  If you are trying to land ship bigger then capacity of post it won’t work. Click on the landing pad in build mode it will display ship size limit (like not longer than 50 meters).
• There is some bug in the game.

How to fix starfield ship not landing on landing pad ?

Fix 1: Set output as the landing point

To fix the Starfield Ship Not Landing on Landing Pad, If you have landing area and the output in the same area and then you have to set the output as the landing point manually. To set the landing point manually , switch to the planet view, hover over the base icon. Then hover over the landing location you built and select X (on Xbox) which is the “set landing location” button. There will be no acknowledgment but you’ll see an option to land will pop up in the bottom right, hold X to then fill the bar and you can now land.

Fix  2: Fly to different system and return

If you are not able to land on the landing pad, then this could be due to bug and to solve that you should try replacing the landing pad and then flying to a different system and then coming back (as long as your ship fits). You can also try to  placing landing pad in a different location , going to another planet’s orbit, saving game, loading game and then landing right on the outpost. Make sure you are selecting the outpost and not the “landing area”

Fix : Use Ship Builder

To fix the Starfield ship not landing on the landing pad, try to use the “Landing Pad with Ship Builder” and not the basic small concrete. This is an easy solution to just build a landing pad with the ship builder and can fit any ship from it.
