Many iPhone  ,iPad users are reporting issue while using the Facebook and Instagram saying “Error performing query” . The error is new to many iPhone users and they are not sure what needs to be done after this error.

In Facebook or Instagram the query error happens when the query or the input you provided contains expressions that are incompatible or invalid or Facebook database have some issue in retrieving the data.

• Try changing your input , what it means is , like for special characters in the input, try removing them. Just try multiple way to fix it.
• On the FB mobile app, kill the app and reopen it. If you’re on a computer, refresh the page and try again.
• Log out from Facebook, log back in and see if the issue is fixed.
• Open the App Store or Play Store and install any pending updates.
• Update  the Facebook page and Restart your device.
• Go to Settings and clear the Facebook cache and data. On iPhone, uninstall and reinstall the Facebook app.

Try to update your phone to latest firmware.
