Why Discord masked links not working ?

For private chat and to share media over groups the Discord have grown a lot. May communities are active there. But like other platforms there are some issues faced by its users related to its features. One such issue reported by Discord users is linked to the masked link not working on iPhone, Android, PC, Macbook. The same message formats fine when viewed on browser/mobile clients.

Many users across globe are reporting that suddenly the Discord Markdown Commands Not Working. The headers and hyperlinks (masked links) are suddenly not working, while it was working normally on some servers but it mased links stopped working randomly. The mased links are apparently not working after Canary update.

Discord masked links feature lets you to make text a clickable or pressable hyperlink. Earlier to create a mased link, you need to include the text you want displayed in brackets and then the URL in parentheses. The issue is faced on both server and Discord user clients as well.

Why masked links stopped working on Discrod.

As per report from the Dev teams of Discord the feature is removed from Discord. The main reason for Masked links rolled back is due to security issue. It is still not clear if the features will be added in future or not after fixing the security issue.

No doubt the masked links were quite useful feature but removal of the same is surely causing trouble to Discord users and we expect a positive update on the same from Discord on this.
