Lots of filmmakers are facing issue with importing Audio and video trying to import mp3 files from YouTube, they keep getting  an error window popping up that says ‘There was an error decompressing audio or video.’ The issue is with all the different types of songs.

Fix : Convert Audio files to different format

If you are using mp3 files for importing Audio and then one quick solution to fix   error was an error decompressing audio or video.’   is to use different audio format file like wav. As a quick fix simply rename the files from .mp3 to .wav and it should work after that. Also Try opening it in Audacity or Audition, saving as a WAV and importing again.

You can use any audio files converter to convert the mp3 to different possible file formats.

Fix : Avoid Special Character in Name

Many converter uses special charter like (), – etc in the mp3 file generated and many software do not work properly with such files name. Try renaming the files without any special character and try importing the mp3 file again.
