Many Windows 10 PC users are facing issue while trying to download games from the store. The download in failing on the windows and does not work at all. The issue is seen across different make PC with windows 10 and Windows Store can’t install apps, error 0x80080005. From some reports it seems to be linked to bug in Windows 10 and it is very hard for a normal user to try and fix it. As a general fix try to troubleshot the issue from the option given, and repair the windows component asked during it.
1: To start troubleshooting ->Type troubleshooting in the search box next to Start icon .
2: Now Click on View All from the left hand screen panel.
3: After this Select Windows Store apps, click on Advanced option and check Apply repairs automatically option.
4: Now Follow the on screen instructions one by one.
There are many errors which are reported due to cache issue in the Store. To fix that reset the store cache :.
1: Open Run command by pressing Windows Key + R.
2: Type wsreset.exe, and press Enter. This will reset the store cache and now try again to download the game.
While some of the users are able to fix the issue after updating to Windows 11. So if you are using Windows 10 and facing error 0x80080005 for too long then please consider updating to Windows 11 at earliest to get a stable version.
