Himachal Pradesh has introduced two notable welfare schemes under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. While their names may sound similar, Sukh Ashraya Yojna and Sukh Shiksha Yojna serve distinct purposes. Let’s explore how they differ:
Sukh Ashraya Yojna (also known as Mukhyamantri Sukh Aashray Kosh)
Purpose: To provide comprehensive support to orphans, destitute women, specially-abled children, and senior citizens by establishing a welfare fund.
Sukh Ashraya Yojna is a holistic welfare fund focusing on long-term support and rehabilitation, especially for orphans and destitute individuals.
Sukh Shiksha Yojna is geared towards ensuring educational access and basic well-being of children in vulnerable families, especially those led by widows or disabled guardians.
